Amy Cheung specialises in commercial litigation, arbitration and contentious regulatory matters. She has extensive experience in advising and representing corporations and high-net-worth individuals, with a particular focus on representing Hong Kong listed companies in a wide range of cross-border commercial disputes, such as contractual disputes, commercial fraud and asset tracing, breach of directors’ fiduciary duties, shareholders disputes and property and probate disputes. She also has substantial experience in dealing with various regulators such as the Securities and Futures Commission and the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
Amy also has extensive experience handling debt restructuring and security enforcement including advising on schemes of arrangements in Hong Kong and in other offshore jurisdictions.
Prior to joining this Firm, Amy worked closely with her Corporate Finance colleagues to assist with all their related contentious issues including resumptions of trading, breach of fiduciary duties by current and former directors, shareholders’ disputes, S214 SFO disqualification orders by the Securities and Futures Commission and regularly used her litigation experience to help identify, mitigate and eliminate the risks of potential disputes.
