Josh obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree (Professional Accountancy) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He subsequently completed his Bachelor of Laws degree, and then proceeded to obtain the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at the University of Hong Kong.
Before joining the legal arena, Josh worked as a tax associate in one of the big four accounting firms handling HK and PRC transfer pricing matters for around two years. He also had experience across various government departments as an executive officer of the HKSAR Government. He joined a local law firm as a trainee solicitor in 2017 and received training in contentious matters including personal injuries, commercial disputes, employment disputes, property management, debt recovery, probate and criminal matters. He also had experience in handling non-contentious matters, including drafting share purchase and buyback agreement, employment contracts and commission scheme. He was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in April 2020.
Josh is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese. He attained N1 in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).
