Elizabeth B L Lim was called as a barrister in UK in 1985 and did her one year of pupillage there. She came to HK in early 1987 and was called to the HK Bar in the same year. She handled mostly criminal and personal injuries work in her practice as a barrister. She left the Bar in 1989 to join OLN until 1993, the same year she was admitted as a Solicitor in HK.
Elizabeth practiced in another law firm between 1994 and 2001 handling mostly property and family litigation. Elizabeth returned to OLN in February 2001 as a Consultant. Elizabeth’s practice at OLN before 1994 and after 2001 consisted of civil, commercial, criminal and family litigation.
She now handles only Duty Lawyer criminal work and has been a part time tutor at HKU since February 2004 and a part time lecturer at HKUSPACE since September 2011. She became a civil celebrant in September 2006.
For 5 years, Elizabeth served as the Legal Adviser for the Malaysian Association of Hong Kong. In mid 2012 she became the Chairlady of the Malaysian HK China Friendship Society.
