Why OLN

W@OLN

W@OLN

OLN established W@OLN, its internal women’s network in March 2012.

OLN established W@OLN, its internal women’s network in March 2012, and is chaired by Scherzade Burden in the Probate & Estate Planning group.

The three main objectives of W@OLN are:

1.    To raise funds for charity
2.    To provide mentoring and coaching
3.    To organize and encourage networking events

W@OLN has the full support of Senior Partner, Gordon Oldham, and the co-chairs are assisted by a committee of ladies at OLN.  The focus is on the individual members and their associates in the local business community. W@OLN is made up of members who are OLN staff and associates being those who wish to be involved and benefit from our network and the opportunities we provide.
We encourage the committee and all our members to attend networking events in Hong Kong, in particular those of other women’s networks or groups. This is because we understand that there is a lot to be gained by learning from the experiences of other women and sharing our own experiences.

We also encourage training and development and run a wide range of activities that are suitable for women at all levels. We invite both members and associates to these events and if a charge is made for attendance the proceeds go to our chosen charity, CWS (the Child Welfare Scheme).

Examples of the sessions organised include a “How to network” workshop, “Presenting with impact” seminar and informal group discussions sharing networking know-how.

We also organise social events to include all OLN staff as we believe that an inclusive and happy workplace is a productive one in which we can provide a great service to our clients.

By becoming an associate of W@OLN you will receive notification by email of W@OLN news and any future events we are holding.

Anyone is welcome to become an associate. If you are interested please email s.burden@oln-law.com.
